Last summer, as part of Bournemouth’s recognition of the century since the start of the First World War, Councillor Eddie Coope organised a free concert at St Peter’s School featuring Swing Unlimited Big Band. A perfect summer evening of music was enjoyed by an estimated 2,000 picnickers followed by an astonishing firework display.

Such was the success of the show, Eddie’s secured agreement from the Council to stage an even bigger concert in 2015, at St Peter’s Fields in Southbourne, on Saturday 25th July. It’ll be a ticketed event this time, but with more features and a bigger stage.

More details to follow in due course, but this is definitely one for the diary.

I’ll get the big rig out for this one, and will be bringing in additional gear from Leisure Light and Sound. Let’s just hope for a warm, dry, summer evening!
